Route 66 & Royal Crown Revue

Royal Crown Revue is one of my favorite swing bands, they are simply amazing. The singer Eddie Nichols has a great voice, and his stage presence is unbeatable. I simpy adore the way he dances around the stage while he is singing with so much expression. I was more then thrilled when I arrived at the Route 66 car show and found out they where playing. I reccomend you go to the route 66 car show next year, its a huge display of classic cars along with all sorts of fun activites to do and free music. Next year it is sep 19-20th. While watching Royal Crown Revue play with my boyfriend and three friends a fellow walked by and mentioned to us that the bass player looked like George W. Bush and by golly he does. Heres a photograph I took with my phone of the bass player.

Aside from George playing the base, there was an aray of cars to look at.

Including monster bus rides, the driver was driving so fast, that It was an almost impossible for me to take a picture, though I was taking the pictures with my iphone.

In the end the car show was amazing, you must go next year I know I will be there.

zombie boy

Turning your self into a zombie has to be one of the coolest things you can do in the world. He goes by zombie though he does have a real name its Rick, hes 22 and lives in Montreal, Canada.

So what other body modifications are you planning?

I still want to get my brain shaded in. I want to get it all nice and grey like hamburger meat. And then I want to get Frankenstein bolts sticking out of my head around the rim of where my scalp’s ‘cut off’. And I’ve thought about getting my eyes blacked in. I’m thinking that in five years from now, if no one’s gone blind from it by then I’ll go and get my eyes tattooed black, so there’d just be big holes in my face. As for tattoos, I’ve still got to get under my arms done, then I’ve got to finish the intestines and get a contour added to the demon on my chest. I’m going to get bones sticking out of my knees, my toes done in skeleton print, and have patches of muscle scattered around – with worms coming out of the wounds.

Have you ever thought about having the tip of your nose removed?

Yes, and I’ve seen it before on TV. This guy had a flesh-eating disease and he was able to get his nose cut off because they gave him a prosthetic replacement. I was so jealous. I wanted it so bad. If I get my eyes blacked in I’ll get my nose removed.

Would you have your ears removed?

Maybe just the one. I was thinking of having worms coming out of one ear and a spider’s web in the other. But I’m an extremist, so if I met someone who could remove my ear and get the right result, then that’d be cool as hell. If I saw someone walking around like that I’d shit myself.

Do you think your life would be better or worse if you hadn’t had your tattoos done?

Actually, since having them done I’ve become a much happier and nicer person. Before, I hated pretty much everything and everybody. I just wanted to pass out in the gutter and swear at cars as they went by, shit like that. I wasn’t a happy person at all. That’s why I got the skull tattooed on my face in the first place, I suppose – I wanted to fucking kill everybody. But then, as time went on, I started getting all this positive feedback – people would come up to me and say how cool they thought it looked. I started getting invited to parties and bars all the time. Strangers ask to have pictures taken with me. I’ve been having so much fun with it that life has definitely changed for the better. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing... not that I have much choice in the matter.

The Girls Next Door no more

Yes I am shameless I do love The Girls Next Door, I am not heartbroken for Holly though, even though her and Hugh Have split. On her myspace she posted a blog stating:

Hef and I care about each other immensely and will always be best friends...I do have my own place, but I am still at the Mansion, too, right now....I'm too busy to move even if I wanted to! hahaha....Bridget [Marquardt], Kendra [Wilkinson] and I are all still best friends and plan on doing several projects together in the future...even though Bridget is in Europe right now and I am sad and lonely without her.

Even though he is 82 and she is 28 I thought they made a good couple, I believe she can do much better, she has a great brain and great boobs to go along with it. She has adorable style I love her classy sexy dresses, and her adorable cardigans. Hugh Hefner has no chance with me unless he can build a time machine and look like he did back in the 1950s. Then he was a hunk, plus I dont know about sleeping with a bunch of other girls every night. But I sure would love to have the chance to roam his backyard and enjoy all his wonderful animals. He has many birds including peacocks, he also has a monkey and countless other animals along with a giant pool. I once got invited to a party at the Playboy mansion, but was to scared to go. Hopefully next year Ill work up the guts, and hopefully ill recieve another invite.

Why I love Dita Von Teese even more

Dita Von Teese is one of the most beautiful burleque performers and now she is the hottest spokesperson for peta. I just adore this ad, she makes learning look hotter then ever and shes doing a great thing at the same time. Who ever knew they had animal birth control, this is my new thing I have learned today! Other reasons to love Dita, she is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to my modeling as well as when I am designing clothes or sketching in general. She is one hot mama! Aside from having a gorgeous body, she dresses to the nines. She has amazing taste in shoes as well as headwear. And who doesnt love vintage and vintage inspired hats. I love these black high heels she is wearing and the dress is just darling. How can anyone not be inspired by such a true beauty.

Day one.

I have an obsession with sewing as well with taking random photographs. I love to snap random photos and I hope you will love to look at them. I gather my inspiration for my clothing and furniture line from so many sources. The process is quite beautiful and the items that inspire me I sometimes want others to see, I hope you will enjoy.

A lil about myself, my names Darla I represent Long Beach, Ca I hope to move closer to Los Angeles soon though since I am over there so much buying fabric, going to shows or out dancing. I love to surf, work on cars, paint, design and sew, collect vinyl, swim when is raining, and I plan on making a difference in the world.

This is my dog Betty, she is a one year old lab pit mix and looks like a black lab with one ear up. She is the smartest dog you will ever meet, she says hello and a couple other phrases amongst knowing thousands of comands and being so gentle with my pet rat & are tiny kitty. I rescued her from a high school parking lot when she was 8 weeks old and really sick, the vet stated she was within days of dieing. I wasnt planning on keeping her but we grew such a strong bond, I could never let her go plus she loves skateboarding & the ocean as much as I do.
